ADMINIS THA TION Most Accomplishments described as being great have been the result of hard dedicated work by those who have previously set goals and held to them. A great school doesn't just happen, it results from many hours of hard work, sacrifice, and commitment. Patch has been blessed with administrators, staff, and students alike who have set as their goal: PAHS as fl 1. Leading us in our efforts have been three who are concerned about the academic, civic, and cul- tural development of the students. Their work has shown an unself- ish dedication of time and patience for the benefit of the students. Demonstrating his capabilities as an administrator, Dr. K. Gregory Apkarian has brought PAHS from the planning stage to the actuality in only two years. With a distinguished background in education including degrees from the Universities of Rl., Conn., Stockholm, and Southern California, Dr. Apkarian began his administrative career in Wiesbaden, Germany. Among his credits are several publi- cations. Second in command is Dr. Jane A. Ware. As Deputy Principal she has the awesome task of overall school discipline, scheduling, and special programs. Raised and educated in Washington, D.C., Dr. Ware came to Patch after completing three years as Assistant Prin- cipal at Heidleburg Middle School. As Educational Program Manager for Patch, Betty Sokoloff has coordinated and organized many school functions, one of these being the PTSA Leadership Conference. Mrs. Sokoloff can be seen daily in the halls, in the cafeteria, or in the classrooms. She is truly a concerned administrator whose background includes the teaching of English, Speech, Drama and Humanities.
