Trojan Staff
The publication of the yearbook was undertaken with zeal by the seniors early in
the year. Pictures had to be taken, Writeups had to be composed, corrected and rewrit-
ten, and the pages had to be arranged in proper sequence for submission to the pub-
lishers . With the last deadline date impending, they worked feverishly at last-min-
ute details. With the copy at the publishers, the group finally relaxed, with crossed
fingers, to await the final test of their efforts--the school's reaction.
This fine group of hard-working seniors is to be commended for its outstanding
work on the 1957 edition of the "Trojan."

Chorus
High SchoolChorus is made up of56 members who meet twice
a week to sing three and four part music. Judy Stumm, Lou Ann
Roth, Priscilla Gardner, Shirley Wight and Wayne Grefrath rep-
resented our school at Medina in November for the Sectional All-
State Music Festival. Wayne also was chosen to sing in the select
high school chorus at the State Music Teachers' Convention at
Syracuse. At Christmas time, the entire group presented a pro-
gram of Christmas music for the P,T, A. and the entire school.
Accompanying the singing were slides of the Christmas Story
posed by the members of the chorus. In April, an assembly pro-
gram was presented for the high school and the group participated
in the County Music Festival at Batavia The month of May
found this group along with school instrumental organizations pre
senting its annual Spring concert

This year s Varsity Team under Mr Feltham s able direction bettered the
performance of any team of the past four years We won two of eight B League
games and a total of six for the season while losing ten Everett Shafer was our
highest scorer with a total of 223 points, averaging 13 9 per game Two others
scored better than 100 points Larry Lyons 143, and john Glor 118 john Glor
also won the foul shooting championship of all who tried 50 or more free throws
- - -with a 58 per cent ofconversions
Tom Feltham had best overall per-
centage---64 but without enough
tries to qualify
This year s team was called the
most improved in the League by the
end of the season. Next year's suc- . '
cess will depend upon the play of
the experienced boys left and those
to be promoted from this season's
jayvee Squad. We are looking a-
head to next year with a hopeful at-
titude ,

For the f1rst trme rn 14 years
Mr. Feltham also coached the
Jayvee Squad. Under hrs drrec
tron we came through the best
Jayvee season for the past srx
years. For the f1rst trme smce
1950 51, we produced a jayvee
record of wmnmg one half of
our games . Our 8 won and 8
lost record could easlly have
been better wrth a few "breaks .
We lost two one point margm
games .
Thrs year s squad worked
hard IH preparatlon for future
years when we hope to Jorn the
Varsrty Team .
Three players scored better
than 100 polntsg Ralph Pope,

and Denny Wolfley, 109.
We look forward to next
year's play and the chance for
rmprovement as jayvees and
