Moonlight Swimmers Shine Bright y Many things changed during the 1973-'74 season, and the swim team proved no exceptiong the traditional name of Swim Team has been remodeled into The Hamilton Moonlight Swimmers. Although defeated in the first meet of the sea- son by Boys' Tech, the team never lost spirit, they were backed by Coach Ludwig and the incredible IV Cheerleaders. The rest of the season proved more successful, as the final outcome racked-up 8 wins to 3 loss- es. Special notice must be taken of: lim Chastain, the number one diver in the city, Joe Moffitt, an excep- tionally talented junior finsmanp the 2.00 medly and 400 freestyle relay teams, and senior Dalen Hein- zen, who set a new school record of 1:10:05 in the 100 yd. breaststroke. As always, the swimmers look for- ward to a very promising upcoming season. The Girls' Swim Team has proved itself well worthy of their new warm-ups and the recognition of the school. At the start of the season the fingirls lost two close meets to tough Custer and Madison teams, through the rest of the season the team fluc- tuated between highs and lows and ended the regular season with an upset over Pulaski, 71-44. An especially fine showing of team effort gave our team a second place finish in the City Meet. Fine performances were given by: Doreen Schwabe in the 100 yd. freestyle, the 400 yd. freestyle team of Doreen Schwabe, Lynn Schulte, Tami Ser- dynski, and Liz Zeckg and senior Ruth Paquette who received first place ratings in both the City Meet and State Sectionals.
