7 The Weekend Crowd Centers At McDonald s 'V l Three cheers for Melvin he s only ten minutes late this time Imagine walking into English class and being greeted with Good afternoon sir, there is a choice of a worksheet, theme, or test today, and leaving with a final Thank you and come again soon. Please don't expect this in school, but under those golden arches at McDonald's it's part of the policy. On week nights, more often on weekends, after an athletic meet, or for no special reason, this familiar hangout is over- flowing with the social butter- flies of Hamilton. As well as meeting friends, most kids are attacked by a case of the mun- chies. Those billions of fries, cokes, and shakes are eagerly devoured by empty stomachs craving food. McDonald's is the place to be to find half the popu- lation of Alexander Hamilton HS.
