Many were the innovations made at Hamilton by its competent. cheerful. and ever-friendly new administration. The most important change was the framing of a new and more democratic Constitution. This Herculean task was undertaken by eleven outstanding students who emerged victorious with a plan of government practically identical to that of the United States Constitution. This manuscript. which will long he rememhered as one of the best pieces of work done in Yanlveeville. created a two-house system. The Senate is composed of presidents of various service organizations. and of the faculty. and the House of Representatives. of students elected hy each homeroom. These two houses together constitute the Congress of .Xlexander Hamilton. One of the outstanding features of this new constitution is the power of the Congress to over-rule the veto of the administration.
