Monmouth placed first and Aledo placed second. The next meet was a dual one with Joy. The Aledo trackmen out-pointed Joy easily. The track team then traveled to the Davenport Relays, where they received sixth place. The next meet was a triangular with Roseville and Abingdon, this meet was won easily by Aledo. The Aledo team tied with Abingdon for fourth place at th Galva relays. A triangular with Geneseo and Orion came next on the schedule. At this writing there are two meets remaining in the season. One will be the Little Six Relays, which Aledo hopes to win. If the Aledo track team can bring home first place honors, it will be the first year Aledo has won a triple crown, football, basketball and track. There will also be the district track meet at Rock Island. Only six members of the track team-selected by the coach--will participate in this meet: Jon Davison will throw the disc, Gary Johnson will compete in the mile rung and a mile relay team will be entered. This meet will be the last of the 1957 season. TRACK TEAM 1956 lst Row: Neil Orth, Jim Edwards, Donald Lee Johnson, Ronnie Hanson, Eugene Fisher, Roy Goding, Jerry Greer.
