' lt's all part Fourth period P.E. was the best, many stu- dents thought, because students could use their study labs to dress and also had a full f' period for activities. In other periods most of the time was taken up with dressing and undressing. During second quarter the P.E. teachers , allowed students to sign up for the activities they wanted rather than assigning them to a specific teacher. Basketball, softball and swim- ming were the most popular activities, coach Dee Moses said. Alternatives to P.E. were vocational classes, of the game health, drivers, education, band, Vaqueras and athletics. Right: When students get to choose their own activity for the quarter, softball is among the favorites. Boys and girls can participate in the sport together relatively easily.
