Robert Kezar The Alcester High School chorus had a very busy year preparing for their concerts, the regional music contest, and the musical, Bye, Bye Birdie. Mrs. Connie Larsen, along with Karen Ites, a student teacher from USD, helped twelve soloists and six vocal groups prepare for the contest held at USD. Several groups brought home superior ratings, along with the Swing Choir which performed a medley called Surfin' USA. Many of the chorus members were also involved in the musical Bye, Bye Birdie which was put on in April. - ♦ 1987-88 was a very productive and fun-filled year for the chorus members and much was accom- plished.
