Band Is Looking Good The band took on a new look this year. They received new shirts and hats. They used them for the first time in Madison for Trojan Days, and then again in Orange City for the Tulip Festival. The band once again sold pizzas to raise money. It was us- ed to pay for the shirts. Along with marching in the parades, the band also performed in all the concerts plus one extra. They grouped together with Hudson’s con- cert band and gave a combined performance. The annual instrumental contest was again held in Vermillion. Thirty-four of the thirty-nine members participated. Among the superior winners were the flute duet, clarinet choir, trumpet quartet, per- cussion ensemble, and Ross Abraham with an oboe solo.
