Future Homemakers Of America Are Kept Busy Alcester’s FHA chapter had a busy year in 1982-1983. There were a large number of activities but two of the highlights of the year were Dad’s Night Out where Mrs Karen Graham spoke on exercise and the Mother’s Banquet where Mrs. Sally Rice spoke on color ana- lysis. Several of the members went to the Regional meeting in Freeman and gave an Action Activity Event. Five of these members received su- perior ratings at the Regional level and went on to the State meeting to compete again. FHA week was also a big event in the year. This mon- ey was used to send three students, Keith Lapour, Robbie Heiman, and Erik John- son to the National Convention in Kansas City. They also used their money on sev- eral projects like the City clean up day. They built benches for the community businesses who purchased the materials and carved the names of each business in the back of the bench.
