They were also kept busy sell- ing fruit. On November 15, Kent Anderson and Kevin Schoellerman traveled to Kansas City for the National Convention. Kent Anderson also had the privilege of receiving the State Farmer Award. The group extended their Vial for Life Program throughout the year. Rich Mulder, Jim Newberg and Jeff Newberg unload the fruit to kick off the local FFA fruit sale. 20

Musical Rocks ' Audience Kristen Treiber, Jolynne Crawford, and Robin Embrock discuss their love lives! Alcester’s third all-school musical, “Rock-n-RoU”, was presented this year with two performances held April 10th and 11th. The setting was Pop’s Pop Shop where the teenagers faced all sorts of problems. Corndog- gies dreams seemed to cause the trouble as he had to stand up Betsy Lou. But, as in most stories, there was a happy ending with the cast finding new loves. 19

FHA Adopts New Advisor Mrs. Christi Larsen joined the teaching staff this year with one of her duties being the FHA Advisor, Another addition was Alcester’s first male member, Terry Kelley. Led by President Lisa Gross, the activities held this year were Dad’s Night Out, Mother’s Banquet, and the usual FHA Week. Some of the members attended the Regional and State Conventions. The year came to an end with deserving members hav- ing the chance to eat out and by cele- brating their last meeting with a game of volleyball and home-made ice cream.
