The seniors in Creative Writing, under the guidance of Mr. Hall, printed school events and activities, plus Senior interviews, teacher features, and other special features. The year proved to be a learning experience for all who were a part of the staff. 25

Band Works For Kansas City Trip This year the band not only played at concerts and at basketball games, but they put in an extra effort for raising money for a band trip. The Band was planning a trip to Kansas City at Worlds of Fun. They raised money by raffles, bake sales, pie sales, and a soup supper. The Band again went to Brookings and Orange City to march for their Homecomings. They also put on a Homecoming Show for AHS Homecoming. The Band Participated in the Christmas Concert, Band Concert, Pops Concert, Memorial Day and Graduation. In the Spring the marching band marched at the Tulip Festival and at the parade for the Centennial. Some of the Band members went to Augustana College in November to Band Festival and Contest.
