Leadership Scholarship and Service Organizations Add To School Life Student Council. National Honor Society, and the Librarians made up three important groups in school life. The Student Council, under the fine direction of John Bergdale and Mr. Zingler and Mr. Wurtz, sponsored a 50's Day and Dance and contributed money to the Cubette and football grandstand fund. The National Honor Society, advised by Mr. Wurtz and Mr. Zingler. sold popcorn to build up their scholarship fund. Bryan and Dianna Crawford were awarded these scholarships. The Librarians were led by President Mary Ann Dunlap, Vice President, Sheryl Gabel. Secretary Heidi Hughes, and Treasurer Nancy Bergdale. They worked hard during the year keeping the library y in order and by assisting students in finding reference materials. They were advised by Brenda Pfeiffer. Creative Writing was a Senior Class that provided the town with the events surrounding school activities. The Bear Facts came out in print once a month for all to read and enjoy. This newspaper publication featured a front page, an editorial column for various students to let their thoughts be known, senior interviews, and a sports page, that covered each individual sports event. The Cubette, our annual, was created by students from freshman through seniors. Officers were elected to head the various departments. Everyone worked hard to take pictures, write stories, and meet deadlines. The publications of a school are most schools' pride and joy. Ours is no exception. c u Below: Where's that picture! t t 20
