German Club Decorates Classroom One of the highlights of the German Clubs year was their annual decorating of a class- room Christmas tree. The Club has been meeting once a month during their German class to discuss busi- ness and have an enjoy- able time playing games and having discussions. The German club is made up of six mem- bers: Roger Wennblom, President; Barry Fickbohm, Vice-Presi- dent; Mary Jo Ronning, Secretary; Sharon Danielson, Treasurer; Lisa Sogn, Student Council Representative; and Brad Kiewel. 14 Members Make up Newly Formed Flonor Society One of the newly formed clubs this year at A.H.S. is the National Honor Society. The Honor Society consists of Junior and Senior students who have a grade average of a B+ or better. The Club is made up of 14 members. Some of their business has been getting Honor Society pins, ordering cords for graduation, and making money. The club’s advisor is Mr. Zingler. A familiar sight in the library this year are the Student Librarians dusting, putting up postures, books- of-week, and straighting up the books. The Student Librarians will, by working in the library, strive to earn points in which to earn their librarian’s pin. The Student Librarians work along with Mrs. Goldammer, librarian, to make the library an organized neat place in which to study and get information. New within the library this year is the newly for formed librarians club. Through this organiza- tion, the Student Librarians find out more about the library, new books, and related subjects. The ad- visor of the Library Club is Mrs. Goldammer. FHA Adopts Grandmothers Members of the Future Homemakers of America led by their eight officers and chapter advisor Mrs. Erickson worked together to aid the community, promote home economics, and to have fun. Each FHA member adopted a grandmother. The girls helped their adopted grandmothers individually throughout the years by helping her, running errands, or by just visiting with her. FHA ers also cooperated with the FFA in a paper drive. The girls raised money for their organization by selling concessions at football games. A white elephant silent auction was held to make money for the scholarship fund. Special highlights during the year were Daddy-date Night, Mother- daughter Banquet, and the FHA-FFA roller skating party.
