“Just an Old Fashioned Love Song” The past was brought into focus as the juniors created and presented to the sen- iors and special guests Just an Old Fashioned Love Song. The mistress of ceremonies for that May 3rd night was Carolyn Johnson. The waiters and waitresses served dinner after which Randy Medema wel- comed the guests. On behalf of the seniors, Dave Van Ballegooyen gave the acceptance. Next the waitresses had an old fashioned style show. The junior class then presented a W. C. Field skit. The history of the senior class was told by Kirk Johnson, followed by a medley of old fashioned songs sung by the waiters and waitresses. The future of the senior class was read by Steve Farley. Dave Van Ballegooyen presented the senior's will to the juniors. The banquet was brought to an end by the swing choir sing- ing Just an Old Fashioned Love Song. After the banquet a dance was held from 9:00 to 12:00 with music by the Wonder Band. Following the dance, all were invited to attend The Last of Shelia at the Sioux Theatre. Breakfast was then served by the junior class parents. Waiters and Waitresses: Mitch Kjose, Sue Bergdale, Doug Harvey, Brenda Crawford, Doyle Barnes, Sherea Gabel, Kevin Merrick, Nancy Kraakmo, Ricky Hongslo, Jane Eilers, Barry Hughes, and Charmain Hagen. 15
