AHS entered a new day of innovative studies enforced with modern equipment. Curriculum was expanded from the old, generalized classes to the new, specified subjects. American History became Women in America, History of Sports or Careers in America . English 11 became BibIe -Literature, Grand Funk or Classical Mythology . . The spectrum increased to include Psychology-, Sociology, German, Humanities, Measurements, Zoology and the Reading Lab . The Media Center added new possibilities with its ultra modern equipment such as the TV and radio studios, many new tape recorders, record players, TV sets, printing machines and so much more. ln fact, AHS boasts being the best equipped school in the state. With such new possibilities the teachers were able to expand their teaching methods to include many new ideas. Classes became intellectual, informal and fun. And the teachers became even better friends. Learning became a sharing experience and school became a haven of warmth and joy. Top from left to right: 1.
