Coyt Hartlme Machinist Certificate and Vocational Certificate 20 VOCATIONAL DEPARTMENT Our vocational department here at Albuquerque High IS one of the largest in the city It IS filled by boys wanting to learn some trade for their future occupation or those who Just want a hobby The largest of the classes IS Agriculture lead by Mr Nobles In these two hour periods the students study methods of farm ing ranching and proper care in the raising of animals Architect and Mechanical Drawing are two other subjects offered In these classes students learn the proper designing and planning for the needs of lndustry and families today The Shop classes are divided into five different groups They are Machine shop Auto shop and Basic Auto shop Wood work and Crafts and Pr1nt shop Here students learn the mech anisms of the mam different machines and of the car they drive Basically there are two reasons why students enroll in Woodwork and Crafts One is the good occupation involved and the second IS to develop a useful hobby But whatever the reason these classes are easily filled Another class desired by students is Mr Foehrs drivmg class Here they can be taught the correct and safest way to drive The last but not least of the classes is the Print shop All thelr work in some way benefits the school or the Public School ystem in general Nelson Lowery Vocational Printing Mandel Peterson Franklin Reynolds Q Y . . . . 9 Y ' .Y ' i v 1 . v ' vy 1 ' - , v k .
