BARBARA YOUNIS Vocational Girls' Chorus: 4. l'0l9A,eCg Let's take a look into our crystal ball to see what is coming for us seniors in the future. The first person we see is Lois Alwine busily engaged selling a beautiful dress from her own dress shop to - of all people - Mamie Eisenhower. Oh see! There's that lovely blonde, Beverly Boggs, who doesn't appear a bit older, although she has worked hard as manager of her ranch in Texas - a ranch of oil wells. Who is that dignified head nurse of the Albion Memorial Hospital? Why, it's Linda Buckles! Yes, that tall, handsome entertainer who is entertaining the patients in the Albion Hospital is Russell Coe, the national idol of bobbie soxers. What is that thing flying through the air? Oh, that's Norman Conrad in a flying saucer which he has designed, patented, and manufactured on a large scale. Are those two Abbott and Costello? Of course not! They are Larry Cory and George Frymier who are the nation's most popular comedians. Betty Crothers is the head of the Florida Traveling Agency. Planned vacations for nurses, at special prices. Elizabeth Elser is with the nurses' division of the Air Force, now stationed in Hawaii. Mrs. Harry Bogner, the former Norma Gage, is chief cook and bottle washer for her husband and -four kids, near Kendallville. Mrs. Ken Smolek, theformer Jean Gappinger, entertained her stand-in, Esther Williams, at her home in Beverly Hills recently. Prominent in the entertainment world is Louetta Gorsuch McC1anahan, the famous trombone player in the Band of America. Dale, her husband, is putting his engineer training into practice in housekeeping and baby sitting. Mr. Duane Guthrie, president of the Third National Bank of Albion, is doing very well - a new car every week. Ed Halferty is sailing the high seas. A girl in every port is his motto, Shirley Hickman is the sole owner and manager of the new nursery at the Albion- Jefferson School. She has about 300 enrolled. 15
