Assistant Principal Tommy Lacks
Mr. Tommy Lacks, who serves as the assistant principal, is an integral part of Albertville High School. He is an indispensable member of the faculty in that he oversees all activities, both scholastic and extra-curricular, in the school program. Mr. Lacks handles disciplinary and attendance cases. He encourages each student to strive for and to reach the heights of their potential as a student and to prepare them for their future.
72Principal Arthur Baugh
"Whatever years are alloted to each of us, no one ever knows ahead of time. That is one of the "sweet mysteries” of life. One thing is certain, however. When a moment passes by, it is gone forever and nothing can recall it. So it is with the years at Albertville High School, which for our seniors, are only memories now.
"For some, these remembrances are tender and warm; for others they are bland, neutral, perhaps even colorless. In Shakespeare's words, however, "What’s done cannot be undone.” Nonetheless, there is a large looming luture awaiting all of you which ought to be seized aggressively so that your lives will be filled with time well spent and years well lived. Take the future and let it be yours. "Make the world and your place in it what it ought to be.”

216Valedictorian — Victoria Belinda Johnston
Today is one of the most important days of our lives, the day of our High School Graduation. As we each receive our diploma, we will start to think back over the past 4 years that we have spent at Albertville High School and consider just what the diploma means to us. These past years will always hold a special place in each of our hearts and memories.
We've been faced with many challenges during these high school years. Whether we succeeded or failed, we always gave it our best shot. It was important that we did our very best and never gave up.
We've each had our ups and downs, but the ups we've experienced at Albertville High School have definitely outnumbered the downs. When we were down, there was always someone around to pull us back up.
We've learned a lot here at Albertville High School, whether it was Algebra or Chemistry or how to make friends and share special times. We will carry this knowledge with us and put it to use many times in the future.
A brief from the Valedictory Address.
218Salutatorian — LccAnn Blackmon
k
"Life in the beginning, in the middle, and at the end, is a gift. Whether we use it as a tool to help others, or let it bloom for a while then wither and shrivel up useless, it is our choice. The birds are given a short life, but they are well remembered for their moment of song that filled the air. The rose in the midst of cruel thorns, sends briefly its moment of beauty and joy. The soft cuddly kitten leaves its own special kind of tender warmth. Humans are remembered for how much they hurt others — But only as long as a candle burns in the wind. The kind helpful friend is like a bright shining star shining forever in the dark halls of memory. It is this kind of friend, this star, that is remembered. How do we become stars? We use the gift of life so that not a day goes by that a soul has not seen our smile, felt our friendly hand, and leaned on our shoulder in time of need.”
A brief from the Salutatory Address.
