Band and ROTC Music expresses joy, sorrow, sadness, or fear. Our band has inspired these emotions within us. Pep rallies arc more spirited, jam sessions are hotter and classical concerts are more thrilling when our band performs. The program of music offered in our school gives the student an opportunity to develop an appreciation and understanding of music. (TR) Jack Powell — band director. Languages MARGARET STRICKLAND VICKIE KELLER Secretaries JEAN RAINS JO ANN WELLS One of the purposes in teaching foreign language is to make the student more aware of other countries, their cultures, and dialects. Our school day would not be complete if we didn’t pass by the office and see our secretaries hard at work or helping someone. Many times they have work that takes hours to complete, yet, if one needs help, their services arc given willingly. 27
