The 1972 fighting Aggies were a fine group of A.H.S. students that loved the game of football. Although they had many problems, they pulled together to have a good second half of the season. The fight and desire that they displayed, will help AGGIE teams in the future.
Cochron gains yardage. Aggies fought but lost.

Even though the 1972-73 high school season has ended, Aggie fans are eagerly awaiting the 1973-74 season. This interest is due to the fact that seven of eight squad members will be returning along with the 17-6 Aggie ”B’ Team.
Head Coach, Shannon Sloan, has amassed an impressive record in 17 years at Albertville High School. The Aggies had only a 9-16 record this year, but Sloan did one of his best coaching jobs with this young, inexperienced squad.AGGIE 1972-73 RECORD

We, as Sophomores of A.H.S. in the year of 1972-73, accepted a challenge - a challenge to be better people and strive for a higher goal. We met, studied, learned, participated, accepted defeat and anticipated victory. Because of this, the Sophomores of 72-73 became better people.

The MOUNTAINEER Staff wishes that every participant of Albertville High campus life would look closely at the advertisers represented here. They have contributed much toward the success of this book, and constitute a select group of very loyal Aggie supporters. It makes good sense to trade with those concerns that are interested in you. Both the advertisers and the MOUNTAINEER Staff will sincerely appreciate your mentioning the MOUNTAINEER when patronizing these advertisers.
