At Lowry, the faculty tries to give the students an extra break with individual help whenever possible. Almost every day teachers give extra tutoring or make-up tests before or after school. Two instructors give up their preparation periods to teach a class of two students each. Several classes are conducted in an entirely individualized manner. Homecoming festivities took place in the week of October ll-15, 1976. Throughout the week, classes, clubs, and other school organizations ambitiously prepared for the parade, skit night, and big game. The skits all proved very enjoyable to a large crowd of Lowry fans. The queen's coronation is always a highlight ofthe night. Last year's homecoming queen Loretta Vesco crowned Tama Hay as the 1976 homecoming queen. Following the skits, was the snake dance which began at the courthouse and ended at Nixon park. This exciting week, so full of total school spirit paid off well the next night under the new lights when the Buckaroos took on the White Pine Bobcats and creamed them 66-0.
