The board consists ol' six members, who are elect- ed by the community for a term ol three years, with two ol' the men up for election each year. In this way there are ideas of both experienced tnembers and new- ly elected members with Superintendent -I. Alohn Hal- verson advising them on all current issues. 'l'heir outstanding accomplishment this year has been the building ol' a new Northside elementary school. which will be completed during the summer. Miss Irene Phillips, secretary to Superintendent ,john Halverson, has worked in the junior High since I9-13. Among her extra-curricular activities are dancing and interior decorating. Acting as secretary to Mr. Vermund Andersen is Miss Anna Carney, who graduated lrom Albert Lea High School in 1950. Knitting occupies most of her leisure time. Mr. Forrest l.. lYilley's secretary is Miss Gloria Fink. a HHH graduate ol' Albert Lea High School. Her hobbies are dancing, knitting, skating and swimming.
