G DIVISIO Although the ALBERTDA VID 'S main pur- pose is ASW, her gun battery during this deployment proved the versatility of the destroyer class. ALBERT DA VID's two 5' X 38 gunmounts and Mark 56 gunfire control system performed with such reli- ability and power that We were considered a major asset on the gunline.
