LTJG HAR TSFIELD X Communicator The OPERATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS COCJ Division is responsible for all exterior, electronic and visual, communications on the ship. Their mission is to provide reli- able, secure, and rapid communications to meet the needs of the command. OC Divi- sion is comprised of the signalmen and radiomen. The signalmen are tasked with not only insuring good visual communica- tions, but act as professional lookouts pro- viding the OOD's with valuable navigational information. Radiomen, though most of their work is classified, are responsible for all electronic communication such as radio! telephone and teletype transmission.
