X whim Freshmen This year marked a new beginning at Albany High School. Freshmen were admitted as part of the student body. The addition of a ninth grade has brought many advantages, along with disadvantages. The problems, that arose at the beginning of the year, have for the most part settled down . . . In spite of this, they have managed to adapt to the high school environment with great ease. Student Government is one area in which freshmen have strongly showed their interest. We wish them luck in their future years at Albany High. Stick with it . . . only three more years to go! f Yrs' X K Q Yf is V LLNW N12 iii - K 'Q A ti ,ii ,W .?g31eQf,s:1:1i ..:k ,W Sw Q we L,.8,,.,, Q , Q I X xv. w x 5 ,. Q K 'G . . It was obvious it did not take long for them to feel right at home. They have taken an active part in many of the clubs and extra-curricular activities in the school. We hope they enjoy their sophomore year and continue to show enthusiasm as juniors. .A Y' Q , N '1 1 lla- srl ' . a r b , 'x 9 ii 7. si 5 A Q ww A f 'Mfg MK . QQ x 4 Q N A fn., . A very complimen- tary statement was made about the lunior Class at Albany High this year, that they got off to a great start at the beginning of the year. They organized many successful programs for the entire school, in- cluding a Halloween horror show, an Open House Bake Sale isome were guides for the Open Housel 84 Blue and Gray Day. They gave free balloons at the Albany High Troy football game. All in all, we can accredlt much to our junior Class and we hope that other classes will take their example of hard work ambition and school spirit. 4, 9 ?'g N 'WH' wrfq' fu gf M mfs '- 5. Although the Varsity basketball team has not been completely victorious, the 1.V. team isundefeated. Girls this year have also taken part in many of the extra-curric- ular sports activities. This spring, we have a promising tennis team. With the addition of a fine swimming pool, aquatic events are being planned for the future. With all the new apparatus provided at AHS, the students have been able to develop their skills in such fields as: gymnas- tics, volleyball, track, soccer, softball and other catego- ries. Many clubs have sprung up due to the great interest in these sports. We hope to have a successful year in all events. 4-nw 3111 fr ,Q 5 41 1 A Jw ap, U :gk Q, ax MF ,ff 1, X 'mm of ax K fi M . W. Coach Alex Sokaris's rebuilding pro- gram seems to be in full gear now and he promises to bring back to Albany High the football prominence it had known in the early 1960's. He has many of this year's starters returning for the 1975 season, and some good talent should be coming up from the ju- nior varsity squad. With these encouraging notes, some added school spirit, and fewer injuries, next fall's football games should provide some real excitement. X . I I L . 34: A , , X,.. ,gb ff . Nw... Afl- X...
