You might say that supplies for which money is not directly needed but for which- a requisition must be made up and properly authenticated are the domain of S-l. The Storekeepers find that one of their major jobs is in prepar- ing for replenishment periods. Logrep strip cards — IBM cards — must be passed to a replenishing ship in advance for the following period some two weeks later. To be able to figure this out means that the storerooms must be neatly arranged with the goods which are most needed in a clearly accessible position, even though the space is not available to make this an easy job.
