DEDICATIO Country Morris A TRIBUTE XVords are a hollow means of expressing our regard for and our regret at the retirement of Coat-h. Yet we who have known and loved him over the years feel constrained to express even though inadequately, our appreciation for his services and sorrow on his departure. The qualities that make for greatness in a man are difficult to measure. Some attain it by pre-eminence in industry, science, literature, art, or government. Some few by the greatness of their humility, love of their fellow man and devotion to a cause. Such a man is XVilliam G. Morris. An outstanding athlete, many worthy accolades bestowed upon him, he has heard the plaudits of great crowds, and yet always has he remained modest and unassuming. Countless opportunities were presented to him to do what some would call advance in his chosen profes- sion, by coaching college teams. However, he preferred to stay where duty and loyalty called him and where he had found his particular niche in life-with the boys at The Albany Academy. An outstanding coach of football, basketball, and baseball, whose knowledge of each of these games was infinite, as was his ability to teach them: a student meticulous in his attention to every detail of the coaching profession, a leader of men and of boys who could inspire them to great heights in victory, and comfort them in their losses, above all, a man whose first thought
