Along with Mr. Young, the new coach, the girls received new basketball uniforms. They were the prettiest, we believe, that Alamo has ever had. The Devilettes percentage of winning games was not at a high point this year, only 4 wins to 14 losses. But as everyone will agree these girls were sensationally active. The main forwards were: Captain Royce Byrd, Ann Duncan, Janet Parlow and main guards were: Jan Byrd, Julia Strange, and Linda Eason. The rest of the squad were grand substitutes: Forwards; Charlotte Edwards, Jean Prather, Guards; Myma Lowery. Ruan Jackson, Charlotte Haynes, Patsy Taylor and Patsy Goode. This was better than last year. We are expect ing an even better season next year. The squad has been weak in bench-strength for the last couple of years, and has been hampered by the lack of students trying out and staying on the squad for the entire season.
