Heightsters who oc- casionally place them- selves on the tardy list find it no drudgery to report to the attendance office, where Mrs. Helen Wharton, assistant, and Mrs. Russell White, at- tendance clerk, offer the students an easy-going, congenial atmosphere for the effect of an other- wise slightly tedious business. In a position such as theirs, these lad- ies know practically every one of over six- teen hundred Heightsters and have gained just that many fast friends. From left to right are Mrs. Mary Edwards, sec- retary to Mr.'Hart, Mrs. Jean Hasse, secretary to Mr. Crouch, and Mrs. Doris Alderman, clerk. These are people who have a bright smile and ready assistance for any- one entering the main of- fice doors. Wlhatever ones business here, their friend- ly personalities make it all the more enjoyable. Qffice Staff Keep School Functioning Smoothl
