Who is L. T. M.?" If this ever be asked
all one has to answer is, "Why, he's the
respected man at Alamo." In his distin-
guished manner he acts as principal of the
school and does a fine job. For, being a
man of few Words, Monsignor Leroy
Matthiesen proves to be the best man by
speaking loudly with his actions. Msgr.
Matt commands respect in him. In him
is everything We want Alamo to be be-
cause he is Alamo lncarnate. These are
the reasons the 1968-1969 Round-Up
has found for dedicating its appreciation
to this man.

Excitement and exhaustion, the car
bash, the pep rally, the skits, and the
bonfire were mere introductions to the
tension soon to prevail at the home-
coming game against the Nazareth-
Swifts. An ease of tension was brought
about by the sure victory over the
Swifts the first half of the game. Half-
time climaxed the anticipated arrival of
Queen Mary Sue Brandt and her Court.
After the coronation the Mustangs
proceeded to the final victory by a
score of 36-0.
The Queen and her Court with their escorts: Kevin Wilhelm, Mike Hunt, Jimmy
Albracht, Mike Dunn, Pete Castro.

BGOST MUSTANG SPIRIT
TO RECGRD HIGH
The Cheerleaders of 68-69 came back this fall after a summer of vigo-

spread throughout the school. The introduction of the Spirit Stick and skits
to the pep rally helped to lift spirit to a record-breaking height. As long as
there will be girls like them to fill their place our School Spirit will never
die.

MUSTANG TURNS OUT TOP RATED PAPER
A school newspaper provides opportunities for
students to learn journalistic techniques and dem-
onstrate their ability to implement this knowledge.
The paper serves as a medium of communication,
allowing the student body to voice opinions. It is
also a source of information. Sharing ideas with
one another, the staff gains a knowledge of both
school and student interests. Service of both these
is their aim.

A little Wiser, a little more foolish
the Sophomores enter the halls of
Alamo. With them they bring past ex
periences and future expectations,
knowing now Where to turn but not
what to say. There is an aura of
knowledge about the Sophomores,
yet a good laugh is their foremost
joy. They are neither out in front
nor way behind, but usually in a
steady middle. The Sophomores
laugh at themselves and communi-
cate to those around them a gaiety
that prevails through all catastrophies

The Juniors, confident, almost arrogant, walk through
the doors of Alamo. They know that they are very close to
the top, and they try to make the most of it. With a finger
in every pie, the Juniors laugh, cheer, and complain with
everyone. They are driven by their own initiative, awed by
the prospects ofthe Prom, numbed by colossal studies,
and gladdened by a coming weekend. In their frenzy the
Juniors expound their support of Alamo, and acclaim its
growth.
