DEDICATION The students of Alameda High are proud to dedi- cate this ACORN to the citizens of the city of Alameda, a progressive community that realizes the importance of good education in a period when many communities seem to be indifferent to and unaware of the importance of providing a basic education for their youth. Our community realizes that the schools must produce a well-rounded citizen, and it tries to provide the best possible surroundings to achieve this end. Our citizens have approved the school tax and bond elections which have made it possible to -Hfaintain and further our educational program. Furthermore, private groups have stimu- lated the general interest of our community in the welfare of the educational system by promoting scholarship funds and foreign exchange programs.
