Bos ASCHE ADDISON THOMPSON We reached our peak in our Senior year, both in social and financial success. After many weeks of concentrated rehearsal under the able direction of Lloyd Sisler, the cast of “Heaven Can Wait” gave a performance which broke all records in attendance. Among the main characters were Don Pries, Pat Horrigan, Joe Kaney, Don Edwards, Rodna Walls, and Bob Campbell. In our Low Senior term we elected Don Edwards as president, and he did a fine job in getting our Senior Jackets out on the second day of our High Senior semester. The office of president in this 4B term was delegated to Buzz Thomp- son, who has made plans for a really enjoyable time to be had by all. In sports this class has been well represented. Even as a mere Sophomore Joe Kaney was high point man on the basketball team. Don Pries, Fred Terry, and Jim McQuaid were also on the Championship Team of 1943. Harry Jeffs, Ray Divine, Joe Kaney and Ducky Pries were outstanding on the baseball diamond; Bob Wilkinson, Buzz Thomp- son, Syd Hazelton, Fred Terry, Dick Cloux, Ray McMullin and Fritz Maurer in track; and on the 1945 basketball team were Lowell Jensen, Harry Jeffs, and Rodney Williams. Yes, our class has done a lot. Some of this achievement is due to the initiative on the part of the students; but, on the whole, our life through Alameda High has been guided by little praised but deserving people—the advisors—who are constantly prodding us to get things done. And so, now that we are on the last leg of our journey through a very happy and successful four years of high school, we wish to thank Mr. Bryan, Mrs. Hall, and all the members of the faculty who have given us that little shove needed for the achievement of success.
