A. S.A. H. S. FALL, 1944 President.... . JACK WEEDEN Vice President Doris BuZOLICH Recording Secretary... Financial Secretary Ye ll Leader JACK WEEDEN The Fall Term, 1944, is one which will be long remembered in A. S. A. H.S. history. The associated students were led by a president surpassed by none, Jack Weeden. His con- tinuous efforts for successful student meetings and his brilliant leadership guided the administration through an outstanding semester. Backing President Weeden at all times Vice President Doris Buzolich proved herself capable, efficient, and well worthy of her office. This administration boasts that for the first time in the school’s history, a recording secretary completed the term without a single correction of the minutes. Financial Secretary Dick Fetherstonhaugh added his name to the short list of ““Money men’ who have secured 100 per cent student dues. Yell Leader Bill Schacht gave sparkling enter- tainment to the meetings with his energy and school spirit. A wide variety of entertainment was offered during the term. The 53rd Infantry Band gave a fine concert; the semi-annual Student Talent program was excellent; the eminent author, Howard Pease, gave an enlightening talk on the art of writing. One other pro- gram is recalled in particular; namely, the “Chinese” Magician with a definite Brook- lyn accent. Some of the groups which promote a successful administration are the Student-Faculty Committee, the Ad Board, and the Men’s and Women’s Boards of Control. More im- portant than these, however, is the splendid codperation of a student body which under- stands that Alameda High is the finest school in the Bay Area and works to prove that fact. On behalf of my fellow officers and myself, I wish to thank one and all for the coéperation given this administration.
