Goldman, to Lieutenant- Commander Charles W Cox, and to Second Lieutenant Charles A. Briscoe who are now on leave of absence from our faculty to serve with the armed forces of the United States. The spirit of these men is symbolic of the tem- per of the many former Alameda High School students who are now in uniform. Our deepest gratitude for the service of these faculty members is hereby acknowledged.
