Some Freshmen Had lder Siblings who really get along, Washer jerry Watktns hm Weaver Tulle Webb, Knstm weeks Rusty t t' S S Vgslshivsiisff w ' T 1 wrmzaek Tiireri' at . . Q f Quite a few freshmen had an advantage when it came to adjusting to high school life. These students had older brothers or sisters who had survived their freshman year at Airline. When asked about their relationship with their siblings, these freshmen had interesting responses. Most of the freshmen asked, said that people thought they looked like their older sibling, but when they were asked how they felt about it, their answers varied. lim Watkins said he didn't care but that his brother, Tim, hated it. Suzy Wise said she didn't mind because she thinks her brother jimmy is cute. When it came to describing their relation- ships with their brothers and sisters, the freshmen became quite honest. Susan Tur- chick remarked that she and her brother Robert ignore each other so there is no problem with fighting. On the other hand, Tabitha Murphy said she and her brother Tim have a very open relationship and they get along totally super. For a few freshmen, this was the last year that their older brothers and sisters would be students at Airline. Those whose brothers or sisters were graduating, shared mixed feelings on the thought of their siblings leav- ing home. To Kevin Fergason it meant that he wouldn't get a ride to school next year. For Pat Stinson it was a sad thought because he went places with his sisters. Karen Wilkes summed it up by saying that she and her brother Mike always talk to each other about things they couldn't share with just anybody. When Mike leaves for college she will miss going places with him. lt just goes to show 5 W T' 2 vi if 5 at iiii Y l I 1 I . Dr. Haley Showed Concert Dr. Phillip Haley Principal For his second year at Airline, Dr. Phillip Haley's exuberance has shown throughout the year. Dr. Haley has always been an avid Airline fan in every way. During his time as principal, he has set forth many goals for himself and for the school. Already, many of these goals have been achieved, but unfortunately many remain to be conquered. Working to improve the school life at Airline, Dr. Phillip Haley has made another year of school a big success. Through his many years of working with schools, Dr. Haley has taught, as well as learned, an abundance of wisdom. Dr. Haley's perseverence has brought about several major changes in the curriculum at Airline, so that the students can better themselves. Making Air- line's academics superior, Dr. Haley has given each student a priceless opportunity to learn from exper- ienced teachers and counselors. Dr. Haley's motivation and determination show up in everything he does. 126 Valhalla
