Rossitto-Schmidt Seniors Realized The Significance Of 1982 Air Academy was almost a society in itself, supplying students with social, emotional, and physical challenges. The feeling of closeness was compounded by the fact that there was only one high school. Being the last class to graduate before Rampart High School expanded the district was a special honor. Becky Rockwell, a senior, felt this honor too and talked about what it felt like to be graduating this year. Not only was it the last year for being together at one school, but it was also Air Academy's 25th anniversary, and that's exciting to be in a graduating class with those two privileges. But while it might have seemed like they were in a world of their own, the world outside the doors of Air Academy continued to rapidly change. The uncertainty of economic and political situations was felt by all throughout the year. Becky felt the apprehension common in the world today, and commented that there is a need for strong leaders and part of it will have to come from our class.
