CLASS iISTORY CCont J ness in the chool room and on the play ground The small still wlth us, value stlll at par, 15 Jacqueline Witt Then Swett, the quiet boy, with a temper, whlch most always he trol Thus the Class of 49 start d, twelve years ago in first grade room packa' e that is there was Wayne kept under con Miss McAndrew's No one Joined us in the second and third grades Miss wilson was our teacher lH the second grad , and Miss Flood was our third grade teacher The enrollm nt was so lncreased by the fourth year that the class was divided Thls grade was taught by Miss Cnllcoat and Miss Reggie In the flfth grade a new adfltion that set the boys' hearts fluttering was Janet Nelson Our teacher was Miss Ritter Dean Trumm Jolned us in the sixth gr de Our teacher was Mrs Cox we cannot forget the tlme she sald, Ulf you must eat in school, bring your lunck tomorrow, and we'll eat it after school Cwe did J Ronald Bretz, and nls trumpet, came from Plawnview to join the class in the 7th grade and Bob Spearmar, a second Daniel Webster, entered the class thls year Mr Bretz and hiss Peterson were our teachers In the eighth grade, James Anderson of the Burwell Anderson's came into our class year. Trouble Lorene Graver re entered the Join our happy group. along wlth his nlokname HSeedy.n Dean Jensen started this also started thls year, of course there is no affiliation!! with her individuallstic giggle was with us too. Two girls class. Janet Nelson ano Estella Hartgrave, had come back to when we were Freshmen we had the largest class ever to enter this high school, thus far, nlnty six to be exact. Of course we felt very big and important as all Freshmen do, but our class suffered with the usual Fresh man ignorance as we wandered from class to class wide eyed and open mouthed and always lost. Some picture, what? Our new fellow sufferers were Ethel Bartholow, Erma Chase, Kenneth Clyde, Eleanor Collins, coming in from the rural schools. Also as Freshmen, Don Crook, another star on the gridiron, clnders ano basketball floor, JOIHCG us. In this case Neligh's loss was A1nsworth's gain.
