Mr. Richard Rogers It is with sincere appreciation for his many contributions to Ahoskie High School that we proudly dedicate our 1967-68 yearbook to Mr. Richard Rogers. Mr. Rogers came to Ahoskie as we entered high school four years ago, and he has worked untiringly for the betterment of our school. He can be found in the laboratory assisting students with science projects almost any hour of the day or night. He has organized and coached a track team with an enviable record. Many students have received recognition who would have gone un¬ noticed except for the efforts of Mr. Rogers. Thanks to him, we have a group of students who have been trained to handle our visual aids as if they were professionals. Classrooms have been made more usable and attractive because of his willingness to share his time to install bulletin boards or bookcases. We consider ourselves especially fortunate to have had him as an instructor, track coach, and friend. We shall long remember that he has served Ahoskie High School well. ■I Administration N Administration provides vigorous leadership Mr. Robert J. Alligood, Principal The success of any program is dependent upon the attitudes and the abilities of those concerned. At this point, in my first year here as principal, there are some facets of our operation that are commendable. The attitudes of our faculty and student body have been superb. The cooperation that has been shown has been responsible for the friendly atmosphere in our school. The program, although demanding at times, has caused students to extend their abilities and to achieve consistent with their abilities. Generally there has been an appropriate ratio of work and play which indicates a healthy school atmosphere. To those responsible for the production of the CHIEF, you have my congratulations on a job well done. Your untiring efforts and tenacious spirit has resulted in a publication that is a credit to Ahoskie High School. To the Senior Class, you will be missed, but you carry with you the desire of everyone at Ahoskie High School that as you seek to find your place in society, you will draw from the rich experiences you had at our school and strive to make your contribution to our way of life. Congratulations to the class of 1967-1968. 12 MR. RUSSELL P. MARTIN, Superintendent MR. F D. OVERTON, Assistant Principal MR. J. M.
