Dedication
In the past three years, a teacher at Agua Fria has been very out-
standing in all his work. He has given many students the inspiration
needed to start their career and helped lead many other students to
bring praise and honor to their school, Agua Fria.
He is more than just a teacher . . . he is a very good friend to us . . .
the student body.
In all due respect and appreciation, we, the annual staff and the
' class of 1967 proudly dedicate the 1967 Wickiup to Mr. Pat Roberts.

The
Don F. Stone
Award
MRS. ELIZABETH McMILLAN
School Board Member
Each year an Arizona high school is presented the Don F.
Stone award for sportsmanship and athletic excellence. Agua
Fria has long been synonymous with victory and with the
beginning of school the presentation of the "Stone Award"
again started the red and gray along the victory path.
The Don F. Stone award proved what every student at
Agua Fria knows ..... Agua Fria means victory.

As School Began . . .
As the 1966 school year started at Agua Fria, stu-
dents met new friends and became reacquainted at
many socialevents . . . the first dances were held after
athletic contests and as far as fun and play were con-
cerned, the school year had started.
As the first fall days began to go by, students also
turned to more serious matters. Agua Fria's student
government began operating under a brand new con-
stitutiong tackling the serious problems of the school
with enthusiasm and experience.

The Year Of The
Big Man!
Coach 0. K. Fulton's championship clubs of previous
years have been noteworthy due to their smooth and
poised play. Thisyear the winning record was just as
impressive but the style of play somewhat different.
Agua Fria relied mainly on the sheer brute strength
and rebounding ability of their big men, Mike Bowling
and Dennis Ritzler. Aiding the two senior stars were
Odis McGowan, Ken Searls, Mike Cons, Chuck Fought,
Bart Mitchell and George liuttes.
Before losing their final game of the season for the
state cliampionship, Agua Fria swept to an undefeated
season in conference play and ended with a 23-2 season
record.

The Desert Howl
Under editor Mark Harvey, the Desert
Howl continued to bring the news to all of
the students of Agua Fria.
During the past two years, the Desert
Howl has been rated one of the top papers
in the state among class A schools. Editor
Harvey and his staff kept this tradition
strong as the "Howl" again received an
All Arizona rating.
