Coach Richmond's team had a few bad beaks, the worst of which was the iniury of Roy Colbert, one of the fine "outcourt" men. Roy was hurt in the last game of the season, and didn't play in any of the B West Tournament held in the Agua Fda gymnasium. At the beginning of the season the Owls lost two heart- breakers,-to Wickenburg and Tolleson. The team fell to the hustling Wranglers by two points, and the follow- ing night to the Wolverines of Tolleson by one point. Our boys had some impressive victories also. ln the latter part of the season, the team won five games in a row, each of which was won by aminimum of ten points. The victories were over Salome, Gila Bend, Tolleson, Wickenburg, and Peoria. ln the B West Tournament the Owls ran into trouble. After taking Bagdad in the first game, the team lost to Gila Bend by three points and the next day to the hustl- ing Parker Broncos by five poihts. Although our squad didn't finislis gmt, the team was picked to go to the slate tournament by the A. l. A. ell and Doug Moser won themselves All Tournament Second Team by their ball student of Agua Fria is proud of Coach the team. The Wickiup pays tribute to the team. A special salute goes to the at Tucson, the team finished fourth ng Owls of Agua Fria did a fine iob.
