Although suffering from one of the poorest seasons in Agra High history,
the Pmwple Charger squad made a valiant stand in all games. The season s ebb
was the defeat by Long Island, the first defeat in our 6-man career by Long
Island. High points were the revenge victory over Riverton and the win over
r Bogue in the season's finale.
, Injuries to key players and lack of experience hampered our attempts to
5 break into the win column.

'YV Team Basketball
The 1959-60 season opened with the Chargers showing inexperience
at most positions. Merrifield and Bushnell were the only returning
lettermen. As the season progressed, the Purple and White began to
round into a unit that was tough to beat. Highlight of the season was
the ei-eo defeat of Portis, ranked nuwber 10 in the state at the time.
Hopes for next season are good with M of the 6 returning for another
year of competition.
