Aftongwon first .prize for the best groups of typewritten work, for the best groups of original cartoons by one pupil, and for the best collection of raffia or reed work. We won seventeen prizes altogether,making a total ofseven- teen dollars and fifty cents. SEPT. 28, Tuesday. ' Geek The Seniors were strutting around this week. Guess the idea just struck 'em that they should act the part of their prominent position. SEPT. 29, Wednesday. sky I'm terribly scared the Seniors will knock the out ofplace with their noses. No school today, Teacher's Institute. 1740 school teachers attended and the Normal Training Students too. They all seem to like it. J. W. Searson of the University of Nebraska and Dr. J. Boraas of St. O1af's College were the speakers today. OCT. 5, Tuesday. No school again today, institute: C. A. Fullerton who succeded in making song-birds of the whole same reason. Two new instructors at of the Iowa State Teachers College ZOO and Dr. E.L. Ritter also from Iowa State Teachers College whodemonstrated.the use of flash cards in teaching silent reading. OCT.
