The 1961 Football team would ha ' e to be classi- fied as a hard working and determined group of yoimg men. They battled their way through a difficult season despite many injuries to key play- ers. The seniors proved to be real leaders as they played very hard, inspiring others, especially after several heartbreaking losses. The Junior Varsity enjoyed a successful season with 4 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie record. Their team was composed of sophomores and a few juniors. There were 54 boys on the Varsity and Junior Var- sity team this past year. Lew Pickles and Bob Stossel were the Co-Captains. Mr. Brunette, Mr. Rogers, and Mr. Borkowski were the coaches. 74 Denise Schober c u G A R S R. Dolde, Captai; G. Vondrasek outn L ounlu B. Thompson D. Sherer D. Snipes E.
