Girls Play ln Basketball Intramurals For First Time Basketball intramurals created great excitement among the participants, giving all students a chance to compete. The girls, too, had basketball rather than volleyball intramurals this year. The third, fourth, and fifth hour girls' physical education classes held a tournament. Third hour vvon first. Bounding with basketball enthusiasm, the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior girls held a tourney. The juniors were the final victors. The boys' intramurals were between third, fourth, fifth, and sixth hour physical education classes. First place vvent to the sixth hour boys. ,yuja V

Baseball Squad Has Winning Season The Advance Hornets baseball team played a successful season this year, with a final record of 8-4. They were unable to play th ree of the scheduled games. They received one forfeit and two were cancelled because of rain. Junior Terry Hill led the team in runs batted in, totalling eleven duringthe season. Jo Cummins held the best batting average, .357.
