senior class officers elmcr kapnick clare munger arlie rogers vice-president president secretary-treasurer william freligh earl a. kelly sergeant-at-arms class adviser senior class We, the class of 1937, have experienced three eventful years together with Clare Munger as our class president each year. During this time our class has contributed many students to extra-currv cular activities such as athletics. music, forensic, Maple Leaf and Sickle. . As a class we were especially honored this spring by having one of our number, Margaret Powell, selected as the all-around girl to represent Michigan at the Congress of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington, D. C. After experiencing these years together we have made a record of the most significant events through the publication of the Sickle. c In past years it has been the practice of a number of senior classes to leave a memorial to the school. The class of 1937 upheld this tradition by purchasing a permanent die for the cover of the Sickle. Although the Sickle has been an annual publication for over forty years. many people are not aware of the significance of the name. To show this significance our class purchased the permanent die seen on the cover of this year's book. It depicts Father Time garnering a class of graduates from Adrian High School who will be stored among the great number of her alumni. Through our high school course we were guided as freshmen by Mr. Adams and as juniors and seniors by Mr. Little. Mr. Kelly has acted as our faculty adviser throughout our entire high school career. We wish to express to him our appreciation of his interest and helpfulness and we extend to him our sincere wishes that the best shall be his through all the future. Our class, like all others, is composed of boys and girls from many neighborhoods and localities, but each one has been influenced by the spirit of Adrian High School. This influence each will carry with him as long as he lives, and we shall all appreciate more and more as time goes on how much the school has meant to us. AL HARMES 16
