Since then the paper has come out at intervals. From the students who turned out for journalism, Louise Klingback was chosen editor. With the help of the rest of the staff and the advisor, Miss Daphne Moistrom, the first Adrian High School Treasure Chest was turned out and delivered to an appreciative student body. After the publication of the first issue of the Treasure Chest, the ambitious staff set a goal of making each issue of the paper superior to the previous issue. Although many difficulties loomed before them, such as learning to use a minieograph, trying to keep the office quiet on pub- lication day' and teaching students to turn the material in a day before and not a day after the deadline, each of these were hurdled in the for- ward march. At the beginning of the second semester Louise Klingback, having proved her worthiness and patience, was again chosen editor. Margaret Klingback, whose job it was to type the dummy copies and the stencils besides writing the editorials, deserted her post and turned her job over to Juanita Franklin. With the first year almost over, the staff of the Treasure Chest can look back to a most progressive and successful year. Their hard work has been appreciated and they have set a high goal that members of the Treasure Chest staff in the future will do well to attain.
