Junior History
On Septernber 4, 1949 twenty-four eager Freshmen entered Adamsville High
School. After initation we settled down to work, During the year two new
members joined our class, Bob Hivnor and Bob Conant but later Bob Conant
moved to Zanesville.
During our Sophomore year we lost four members: Judy McCarty, who now
goes to Rosecrans: Lowell Morrow, who goes to Cambridge High Schoolg
Ralph Vansickle, who is now engaged in farming: and Roger Hittle, who is
employed by Stanley Home Products. We also gained a member, Lorena
Fitch, who came from Grover Cleveland. That year we held an Amateur
contest and collected tax stamps as a project for making money.
We were also proud to have four boys participating in basketball.
When we Came back for our Junior year we found We had lost five members:
Carolyn Vernon, who is now Mrs. Kenneth Albritteng Charles Green, who is
now married to Eunice Handles from Dresden: Bob Hivnor, moved to Newark
and Marilyn Perkins moved to Roscoe. Ralph Stalnaker is now farming. We
also have two new members, Belva Taylor and James Wisecarver from
Otsego.
On December 7, 1951 we presented our class play, He Couldn't Marry
Five.
The highlight of our Junior year was the Junior and Senior Banquet.

On September 5, 1950, twenty seven happy and enthusiastic Freshmen entered their
first year of high school. The first big event of the year was initiation, in which
every one survived. Our class chose class officers for the Freshman year as
follows, Richard Jordan, president, Verna White, Vice-president, Delores Headley,
secretary, Bernard Geyer, treasurer, and Carole Darner and Phillip Mozena as
student council members. In the Freshmen we found we had two new members,

When the class assembled this year, it found it had lost some Of its members.
Mary Hoffer now goes to Dresden, Delores Headley goes to South Zanesville, and
Charles Fouts moved to Akron, Ohio.
Tragedy hit our class during the summer, by the death of our classmate, Dale
Littick. Although the class had lost four members, it had gained one new member,
Barbara Matchett, who came from Otsego.

is a story about a young man, Donald
Regan, who after visiting one of his
father's employers, finds himself in
love with five very pretty young girls.
How he gets himself out of this trouble
with the help of Granny, is very funny
indeed.
All of these girls have their
ambitions and try to talk him into
being what they are, Finally he
chooses the one he loves and wants,
Taris, and so decides what he wants
his life occupation to be. April,
May, June, and Loena still have their
dreams and keep right on doing what
they want to do,
In the end however, matters are
again complicated as Etta Barton, an
old maid sister of Mr. Barton's,
tells that she ,loves him too,
This climax brings curtains
to a close on the story of
'He Couldn't Marry I-'ive',
