DEDICATION TO AMERICA A pillar rising out of the sea A beacon to the entire world A sanctuary where all can be Protected by a flag unfurled By a hand from on high Ruled by God who is always nigh. A ship built of wrought iron and oak And braced by bands of steel With a thousand hands on every spoke While a thousand minds help guide the wheel That decides the goal Of the ship that sails from pole to pole. A pot brimmed full of races and creeds And heated over brotherhood's fire, Holding an answer to every man's need And fulfillment of all that his heart desires. All these are your symbols, Our l-lome Land. America, you need not fail, For Freedom stands by man's right hand And before his eye shines the l-loly Grail, Liberty's ever shining star, The enemy of greed's dark war.
