Woodrow Wfilson met with no better luck against the roaring
Leopards than the other six teams who had failed to scratch the
Leopard "cyclone,', had brought the ball from the other side of the field
with his beautiful running.
Having primed for weeks to revenge the crushing 20-0 defeat of
last year, the Leopards "waded into" the Sunset Bisons and gave them
a sound beating to the tune of 19 to 0.
, In the O.C.-Forest game, the Leopards, although
ag carrying a lead of three points till the last ten
minutes of the game, met their worst defeat of the
season when the Lions "got hotl' and scored three
touchdowns in ten minutes.
But the fact remains, "Pop" Noah put out a
clean, hard-fighting bunch of Leopards. Looking
over the games we recall the sterling plays of
Stroud, Miller, Goodenough, Webster, Cadenhead,
Howard, Kelsey, Kepke, Wymaia, Gore, Erickson,
Cook, Davis, and Russell. Truly, it would be hard
to find a member of the team who did not give
his all.

1929 Football! Season
The Oak Cliff Leopards were led into the Hrst battle of the year
by their co-captains, Bill Erickson and Lewis Kelsey. With Wyman, a
last year's lineman, at fullback, the Leopards stamped a 22 to 0 score
over Grand Prairie for the first victory.
The O. C. H. Blue and White team showed fine form both in run-
ning and in passing in the second game of their 1929 season. The touch--
down honors this time went to the speedy backiielder, "jakie" Gore, and
the vivid co-captain, Bill Erickson.
Hindered by nine fumbles, Oak Cliff was held to a scoreless tie by
the strongest Poly team in years.
The first city series game gave the Leopards their first defeat of the
season, at the hands of the Bulldogs, the score was 13 to 7.
Oak Cliff came back with its old fight and put over its third tri-
umph in five games by giving the Dallas Tech Wolves a sound beating.
Doped by all sports writers as underdogs, the fighting Leopards
swamped the North Side Steers by the one-sided score of 26 to 0.
Again, showing form and fight true to the tradition of Oak Cliff,
the Leopards defeated another Fort Worth team, the Central High Pan-
thers, by a 7 to 0 victory.
